Submitting this form generates standards-compliant XHTML, CSS and JavaScript source code that lets you embed small images in your web pages - without the need for externally linked image files. Code is generated in TWO formats:

  1. As an <img src="data:image/...;base64,..." attribute (see RFC 2397) - supported by most modern browsers, with the notable exception of Internet Explorer...
  2. To address this shortcoming, Huffman encoded, Run-Length-Encoded - i.e., compressed - data is also included, along with the JavaScript to decode it in a user's (possibly non-IE) browser.
